New Farmer Incubator Program
The Sobremesa Foundation Incubator Program supports immigrant, limited resource, and historically underserved individuals as well as emerging farmers by providing leased land access, farm infrastructure, business development and training resources. The initial 3 year phase will focus on:
1. How to get their farm plot started for this growing climate.
2. How to grow for family and market in Indiana
3. Assistance with a business plan and how to leverage their resources in order to profit fairly from their labor.
Chromatography
Chromatography is a technique for separating complex organic mixtures into individual components. It can be used on both soil, and plant parts to learn more about their relative composition and general health.
We use it regularly for ourselves, and both host, and provide workshops to teach other farmers how to perform the process and read the results for their own analyses.
